I so totally agree with you. Though I enjoyed parts of the books before the hysteria took hold, I never ever liked Bella and her lack of self definition. The suicide crap was annoying and I found myself wishing she would succeed.

It made me miss Buffy too.

Though I am not a humanist myself, I am a lover of Joss Whedon and like to consider myself tolerant of views that I do not hold as my own.

I enjoyed the speech VERY much so totally agree with him on the education and free thinking thing.

His ending lines were about the only thing I disagree with. I think there is proof of the existence of a higher power out there. But, you know, to each their own.

I'm only just now starting to watch this show. I just bought the first season, but it's not something that I can watch with Maddie, so it's going slow. I've been wanting to watch it for the last several months.

I agree about Bennett. She was over the top in her scenes with Echo/Caroline, I thought. But then her asperger-like qualities gave way to quirkiness around Topher. And yeah, the directing wasn't top notch. It's hard to follow Belonging! Jonathon Frakes did such a gorgeous job on that episode.

Perfectly put, I totally agree.
I was so anxious about this episodes because I so desperatly wanted them to be good. And the Echo/Perrin (pure HOTNESS), Topher/Victor, Topher/Adelle scenes were really fine. I don't care much about Summer Glau and thought her character was a bit too over the top, but the moments between her and Topher were quite adorable. Nevertheless I couldn't shake the feeling that both episodes weren't very well directed/structured and that the cutting of the scenes diminished some moments that could have been more powerful. But I got Alexis Denisof in lots of sexiness back on my TV, so I won't complain!

I think the reason that Bennett lets Echo and Perrin escape is because she knows that if she lets Topher take Echo home Bennett will have lost her change to kill her.

Also,I completely agree that the GPS strip scene was definitely the most erotic scene of the show. Especially on the second/third/etc viewing. ;)

I like that they showed character growth to a degree, but House isn't going to be House if they 'fix' him. I'm a little worried about that, but am hopeful they won't get too carried away.

Dude! I didn't watch the Emmys, and had not heard about the Dr Horrible video. That was GREAT! I also missed the season ender of True Blood and I'm kinda glad. I'd be giving up on that show entirely if it weren't for my friend. I love that everyone that used to love Bill hates him now. LOL.

And I think there should have definitely been more Sookie/Eric interaction in the final. Books or no. She and Bill have no chemistry as far as I am concerned -- and it probably has to do with the fact that they are together in real life. If I was a director, I would forbid that.

But yeah, totally can't miss the next season. Because I am addicted in that evil way that is reserved for soap operas. Hehe.

My mother has a black Lab (really big teddy bear of a dog) that she has outfits for. One Thanksgiving, I walked into poor Daisy dressed up like a pilgrim. She also has other seasonal wear. How sad is that?
